INTERNET PRIVACY POLICY

At Attitude Measurement Corporation ("AMC"), we are sensitive to issues concerning your privacy. We believe that it is important that you understand how we treat the information that we receive from you. We created this Internet Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") in order to ensure the confidence of visitors to our Web site (the "Site"), and to demonstrate our commitment to fair practices and the protection of privacy.

Personally Identifiable Information

AMC will only collect personally identifiable data, such as your name, address telephone number, or email address, when it is voluntarily submitted to us. AMC will use this information to comply with your request for information or as otherwise disclosed to you. From time to time, we may refer to that information to better understand your needs and how we can improve our services. We may use that information to contact you. We will not sell or otherwise transfer the personally identifiable information you provide to any third party unless otherwise disclosed to you when you submit your information.

You may choose not to provide us with any personally identifiable information. In the event that you choose not to provide us with personally identifiable information, you can still access certain portions of the Site; however, you will not be able to access and use those portions of the Site that require your personally identifiable information.

AMC automatically collects cookies on the Site. Cookies are a string of text which contain information about the browser. Our cookie does not contain any personal information. It only remembers your browser and specific data needed to complete our surveys.

Data Security

AMC protects personal and identifiable information with organizational, physical, and electronic security measures.

AMC Panel Registrants

When you register as a panel member, we will not make your personally identifiable information available to anyone without your permission, except in rare instances as may be required by law. We will never try to sell anything to you nor try to sell or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to any third party unless otherwise disclosed to you when you submit your information. We may use your information, however, to let you know about opportunities to take surveys or to inform you about special programs we are offering to our panel registrants.

Registrants may decline to respond to a survey at any time. Registrants may also update any personal information or withdraw from the panel by contacting AMC via email at amc@amcglobal.com.

AMC Survey Participants

We combine your survey responses with the responses of all other survey participants and report only those combined responses to the client that commissioned the study. We will never report your individual responses unless you explicitly consent to sharing your information with our client or as otherwise may be permissible under applicable CASRO (Council of American Survey Research Organizations) and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy policies for the purpose of conducting confidential, follow-up research. Your survey responses will not be used for any purpose other than marketing research without your prior written consent.

To the extent that any personally identifiable data is collected during the survey process, such information will be used for the following reasons:
  • To contact you for market research.
  • To conduct survey research with you.
  • To validate responses you provided in a survey.
  • To fulfill our survey incentive program.
  • Any other purpose disclosed to you.
Survey participants may decline to respond to a survey at any time, as well as update or remove any personal information by contacting AMC via email at amc@amcglobal.com.

Children

This Site is not intended or designed to attract children under the age of 13. We do not collect personally identifiable data from any person we know to be under the age of 13.

This Site may contain links to other Web sites. We are not responsible for privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. We recommend you carefully read the privacy policies of each Web site you visit.

Updates and Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right, at any time and without notice, to add to, change, update or modify this Privacy Policy, simply by posting such change, update or modification on the Site. Any such change, update of modification will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site.

Crossborder Policy

AMC conducts research programs on a global scale. Your personally identifiable information may be collected, stored, processed, used and transferred in one or more countries outside your originating country. By using this website and participating in AMC research programs, you consent to the transfer, storage, use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information among certain carefully selected non-affiliated service providers, if any, wherever located that are contractually bound to respect the confidentiality of such information.

European Union Residents Policy

If you access this website from the European Union: New data protection laws grant additional data rights to European Union residents.

Please note:

We collect personal and special categories only with your consent as indicated per the survey site. We may share your personal data within AMC, which will involve transferring your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Personally identifiable information is held within encrypted files on secure servers and is kept for a minimum period in order to process. Many of our external third parties are based outside the EEA so their processing of your personal data will also involve a transfer of data outside the EEA. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes, and permit them to process your personal data only for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Under certain circumstances you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data:

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and right to access personal data. This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to a person who does not have the right to receive it.

We will try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. If your request is complex and/or if you have made multiple requests, it may take us longer than one month’s time to comply; in this event, you will be notified and updated of your request’s status.
